Notice to Prospective New Members
We would advise that the Society is primarily a law reform group whose aims and objectives are to obtain acceptable legislation regarding end-of-life issues and we are unable to offer advice or assistance that could be interpreted by a court of law as aiding, abetting or counselling suicide.
We will always try to keep our members informed on matters relating to self-deliverance, and have books and videos available for members to borrow.
The Society sends a Newsletter to all members 3 times per year. Meetings are also arranged with speakers. In addition, Associates arrange local activities.
We would encourage as many members as possible to opt for the e-mail edition of our Newsletter instead of the "snail-mail" version. In addition to receiving the newsletters up to a week earlier, you will also be able to receive announcements and notices of meetings of interest in between Newsletter issues.
If you include your e-mail address in the application form, we will assume you would like to take up this option.
As mentioned on the "NZ Law" page, we also offer an Advance Directive form to members.
